After decade without cycling or any other kind of regular exercise, I somehow found myself with three bikes leaning against my bedroom wall.

It happened when I moved from Glasgow to London and discovered that all my friends were riding bikes. And it made sense because cycling is pretty much always the cheapest and fastest way to get around a city.

In the summer of 2013 I was asked to give at talk at Glasgow School of Art's Communication Design annual degree show exhibition in Shoreditch.

So naturally I decided to make my love affair with bikes the subject of my presentation, which was in the PechaKucha format — 20 slides or videos for 20 seconds each, with no stopping allowed.

What inspired me to start CycleLove? Why and how do we become so attached to our bikes? Does cycling have an image problem?
